1 Definitions

The terms used herein shall have the following meaning:

  1. The Terms – mean these terms of electronic services.
  2. Website – means the website run at the address: academyoforthodontics.com.
  3. Content – all materials and other information published on the Website, including commercial information of Administrator.
  4. Administrator – Website owner, i.e. Maciej Cićkiewicz (Dental Movies Maciej Cićkiewicz), Osowska 70/72/3, 04-332 Warsaw, NIP [Taxpayer ID No.]: 1132570226, REGON [Business ID No.]: 141665782.
  5. User – a natural person with full capacity to perform legal acts, a legal person or an unincorporated organisational unit to which the law grants legal capacity, using the Website.

2 Initial provisions

  1. The aim of these Terms is to define the terms and conditions under which Administrator enables Users to browse the Website Content and use the services provided by Administrator by means of the Website.
  2. These Terms apply when using the Website. Acceptance of these Terms is voluntary, however necessary in order to use the Website.
  3. By accessing the pages or subpages of the Website, the User confirms that they have read and they accept these Terms. If the User does not accept the Terms, they should immediately discontinue using the Website.
  4. The Website may be used free of charge and does not require installation of additional software.
  5. No registration is required to view the content of the Website.
  6. Administrator is a dentist with the professional title awarded in Poland, a member of medical self-government, entered into the Register of Entities Performing Medical Activities kept by the Regional Medical Chamber in Warsaw under the number: 68-22-2313145. The rules of professional ethics of doctors and dentists are included in the Code of Ethics, available on the website of the Supreme Medical Chamber (nil.org.pl).

3 Terms and conditions of using the Website

  1. In order to properly use the electronic service, the User needs computer equipment or other devices:
    1. for browsing the Internet;
    2. with the latest available version of Google Chrome, Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge or other web browser with cookies and Java Script enabled, with the latest available version of Skype or Zoom application.
    3. sound and video recorders.
  2. Data transmitted using the Website are protected by the SSL protocol (Secure Socket Layer).
  3. Technical conditions of using the Website are important for the proper functioning of the Website, its proper presentation in the Internet browser used by the User, as well as for the security of the User’s data sent through the Website. Each User shall comply with the established terms and guidelines and any actions (whether intentional or unintentional) taken by the User contrary thereto shall be at their sole responsibility.
  4. Administrator does not guarantee the proper functioning of the Website if the User fails meet the technical requirements specified in the Terms.
  5. The User is obliged to use the Website in compliance with the law, in compliance with the Terms and without disrupting the functioning of the Website.
  6. The User is prohibited from publishing illegal content on the Website.
  7. The User shall be fully liable for any consequences resulting from incorrect filling in of the forms, and in particular from incorrect or false data.
  8. Administrator shall have the right to discontinue providing electronic services to Users with immediate effect and without giving reasons, where it becomes aware of the fact that the User provided false information or took other actions which are in breach of or were intended to circumvent the security procedures, and moreover in the event of violation by the User of the law or the Terms while using the Website or disrupting the functioning of the Website.
  9. Administrator has the right to remove any content uploaded or made available by the User if required by law or if the content is offensive, inappropriate, illegal, infringing on the rights of third parties or otherwise objectionable.

4 Types and scope of electronic services

  1. Administrator provides an electronic service which enables the User to view the Content, to conclude an agreement for participation in training organised by Administrator, to purchase the Administrator’s goods and receive medical advice online.
  2. The User is granted access to the Content on the Website by commencing the use of the pages or subpages of the Website.
  3. The User may terminate their access to the Website at any time by exiting the pages or subpages of the Website.
  4. The use of the Website by the User consisting solely in viewing and reading the information contained on the Website does not require registration and is free of charge.

5 Complaints concerning the Website

  1. The User has the right to file complaints related to the functioning of the Website:
    1. in writing – by registered letter to the address of the registered office of Administrator;
    2. in person by submitting a written complaint at the registered office of Administrator;
    3. in electronic form by sending an e-mail to info@academyoforthodontics.com.
  2. The complaint should include:
    1. identification and contact details of the User;
    2. description of the problem which is the basis for filing a complaint;
    3. the claims in connection with the complaint.
  3. Complaints will be dealt with immediately, not later than within 14 days of their receipt.
  4. Administrator reserves the right to leave a complaint unanswered if it concerns disruptions in the functioning of the Service resulting from ignorance of the Terms, in particular resulting from failure to meet technical requirements specified in the Terms.

6 Final provisions

  1. Administrator reserves the right to amend the Terms at any time. Administrator shall from time to time notify about any amendments to the Terms via the Website.
  2. The current version of the Terms is available on the Website.
  3. These Terms shall enter into force on 20 April 2020.
